  • Kevin Cawood, DVM

    Dr. Cawood is originally from Connecticut.  He graduated from UCONN in 1989 with a degree in Pathobiology.  He then went to Purdue to receive his Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine and has been working in Fort Wayne ever since.  He has a special interest in orthopedics and sports medicine, as well as chemotherapy.  Dr Cawood is a member of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association, the AVMA, and other state professional organizations.  He has served as a veterinarian at the Iditarod in Alaska and currently acts as a consultant and lecturer to other veterinary practices and professionals.
    Dr. Cawood has a full house with his wife, 2 children, 3 golden retrievers, and 2 cats.

  • Christine O'Leary, D.V.M.

    Dr. O'Leary is originally from New York.  She received her Bachelors in Biology from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA.  She then went to the University of Delaware, where she earned her Masters in Cell and Organ Systems Physiology.  Finally she went to St. George's University and earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine in '09.  Dr. O'Leary practiced in New York for a year before coming to Indiana.  She enjoys spending time with her family, husband and their Sheltie, Quinn.

  • Kimberly Smith, DVM

    Dr. Smith is originally from California.  She graduated from Cal State University - Fresno in 1995 with a degree in Animal Science.  She then went to Kansas State University to receive her Masters of Science in Animal Nutrition.  She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine with emphasis in equine and companion animal and has been working in the Fort Wayne area since.  She is on the Allen County 4H Board of directors and she and her family are very involved in 4H.  Dr. Smith, her husband, and 3 children also farm about 350 acres in the Leo-Grabill area.  Their home farm is also full of horses, sheep, pigs, goats, chickens, dogs, and cats. E-I-E-I-O!!

  • Ksenia Kowal, Office & Finance

    Ksenia began working at ICVH the first day it opened, April 1, 2002.  She went to IPFW.  Prior to ICVH, Ksenia worked in the veterinary field for over 30 years.  She has a Miniature Schnauzer, Lucy Lu.  She's been married to her husband 35+ years.  Ksenia has 2 adult daughters and 2 grandchildren.  This is definately her calling.

  • Patricia Howey, R.V.T.

    Patty started at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in 2002.  She is a single mother of 2 adult children.  She also has and elderly Chihuahua named Prissy and 4 cats, Marcy, Oreo, Lita, and Nisha.  Patty lives in New Haven and loves the outdoors and northern Michigan.  She graduated from Purdue University in 1977 and has been an RVT for 36 years.

    Heather started working at ICVH in August '02.  Since then she has graduated from International Business College in '07.  She has a Siberian Husky, Lexy and a crazy Border Collie, Ladd.  She has two wonderful little boys.

    Kelly has been working at ICVH since January '06.  She graduated from Purdue in '03 with a Bachelor in Animal Science and then went back to get her Associated degree in Veterinary Technology.  She has a Labrador, Boiler and a cat, Riley and horses.  Kelly and her husband have a little boy.

    Suzie came to ICVH back in October '06.  Originally from the New England area, she graduated from Becker College in '91.  She has two Cavaliers Sir Charles and Sir Lancelot and four cats, Candice, Mariah, Olie, and Phinneas.  Suzie is married and has two boys who keep her very busy.

    Jamie has been working at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital since October 2010.  Jamie graduated from Purdue University with her Associates degree in Veterinary Technology in 1999.  She has a full household with, Hope a Labrador, Kumani an English Mastiff, Mack a Bulldog, Diezel a Himalayan, and barn full of horses.  Jamie and her husband have a cute little boy and a beautiful little girl.

  • Tricia Suchanek, R.V.T.

    In her many years of life she has seen many parts of the United States and Europe.  She was raised in Oregon then ventured to the South East, Georgia & South Carolina after she joined the army.  She was even stationed in Germany.  However no matter where Tricia was living or what she was doing she has always had a great love for animals.  Being around horses, growing up at dog shows, and spending time with good friends is what Tricia enjoys doing in her time off.  Tricia graduated from IBC with an Associate Degree in Applied Animal Science and is now an R.V.T.  She is finally following her dreams.

    Alicia started working at Indian Creek Veterinary Hospital in July 2013 after working in a pet store for 4.5 years.  Alicia and her family became first time pet owners to a cat named Spartacus!  She is a newlywed of 2 years with her husband Zac and a mom of 5 children!  Their combo family includes Ashley, Alex, Samantha, Cameron, and Kyle.

    Alyssa started in October '09, after finishing her externship.  Alyssa graduated from International Business College in '09 with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology.  She has a Golden, Conor, a Pit Bill, Sophie, 2 Chihuahuas, Nacho and Lucy, and a Boston Terrier, Moses.  She also has three cats, Nadia, Valentino and Valo.  Alyssa is married with three little girls and a cute little boy.
